Job summary

Cognizant Consulting in Houston is seeking a Senior Consulting Manager to lead utilities grid modernization and Speed to Power transformations. You will guide strategic programs, collaborate with utility executives, operations, IT, and vendor teams to deliver large-scale transformation outcomes.

The role requires 12+ years in energy and utilities, deep knowledge of grid modernization, and proven leadership in delivery, governance, and business case development.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of consulting, advisory, business transformation, or program leadership in Energy & Utilities.
• Deep expertise in electric transmission and distribution operations and grid modernization.
• Proven experience leading large-scale utility transformation programs and change initiatives.
• Strong executive stakeholder management with leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic engagements on grid modernization, distribution operations transformation, and Speed to Power initiatives.
• Partner with utility executives and leaders to assess current-state capabilities and define transformation roadmaps.
• Design operating models, governance, processes, and org structures to improve energization and reliability.
• Serve as trusted advisor across utility operations, IT, OT domains and core platforms.
• Facilitate executive workshops, alignment sessions, and transformation planning.
• Translate business objectives into actionable requirements and implementation strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformation outcomes and monitor KPIs.
