Job summary

Soteria LLC, based in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Senior Security Advisor - GRC to lead complex risk and compliance engagements for a growing client roster. The role blends deep GRC expertise with strong client relationship management and mentorship of junior staff.

Remote position with occasional travel; candidates should be comfortable delivering well‑documented findings to C‑Suite audiences and coordinating SSP development end to end.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity, with a deep understanding of the space.
• Experience in a cybersecurity consulting role and leadership responsibilities.
• Experience authoring System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting RMF/ATO-style processes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, GDPR and other regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex risk and compliance engagements for clients.
• Develop System Security Plans end to end, including control selection and approval coordination.
• Identify regulatory requirements and develop strategic plans to achieve and maintain compliance.
• Document and present findings to C-Suite and board-level executives.
• Mentor junior advisors and maintain client relationships post-engagement.
• Manage advisory projects and coordinate business development activities.
