Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Grant and Fund Manager to oversee advanced research administration within the Department of Radiological Sciences, managing extramural funding portfolios and ensuring compliant contract and grant activities.

You will provide pre- and post-award support to principal investigators, lead proposal preparation, budget monitoring, and ensure adherence to UC, federal, and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of contract and grant administration knowledge.
• 4-5 years of financial analysis, budgeting, and administration for a multi-source funding portfolio.
• 4-5 years of knowledge of cost accounting standards, NIH policy, and 45 CFR 46 on human subjects protection.
• Experience interpreting funding agencies' requirements and procedures.
• Write precise, well-organized, grammatically correct documents.
• Demonstrated ability to audit expenditures and assure policy compliance.
• Skill in performing complex accounting transactions.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre- and post-award support to Principal Investigators for extramurally funded projects.
• Leads preparation, review, and submission of grant proposals per UC and sponsor policies.
• Oversees award administration including budget development, monitoring, projections, and reconciliation.
• Ensures compliance with UC, federal, state, and sponsor regulations and reporting requirements.
• Serves as primary resource to faculty on grant administration, funding strategy, and policy interpretation.
• Maintains high-quality service, accuracy, and timeliness across all contract and grant activities.
