Job summary

Vanderbilt University is seeking a Lead Grants Manager to coordinate pre- and post-award activities across OVPRI. You will work with faculty, students, staff, and the RDS team to prepare sponsored funding applications and manage contracts or awards post-submission.

The role requires meticulous attention to deadlines and regulatory knowledge, with hybrid work in the Nashville area and in-office presence at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) preferred.
• 8+ years of grant application experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-award grant activities for OVPRI central office and affiliated units.
• Prepare and assemble grant proposals and contracts per sponsor guidelines under tight deadlines.
• Monitor requirements, deadlines, and timeframes for program announcements and applications.
• Assist with multiple applications for multiple applicants and departments under deadlines.
• Collaborate with PI, RDS, SPA to produce professional proposal documents for submission.
• Prepare, review, and submit grant proposals in the Vanderbilt ERA (VERA) system.
