Vanderbilt Health's Office of Sponsored Programs-Financial Management Support (OSP-FMS) seeks a detail-oriented professional to manage complex post-award accounting and reporting for a large research portfolio. This role is central to ensuring accurate, timely financial stewardship for sponsored projects.

The position supports 1,000 investigators across 40+ departments, overseeing effort and financial reporting, close-outs, compliance with Uniform Guidance, NIH eRA, and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of commonly used software packages and regulatory requirements in sponsored research.
• Must be organized and analytical with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex and time-sensitive accounting/financial activities with expertise and reporting to key stakeholders.
• Oversee post-award processes including effort reporting, financial reporting, and project close-outs.
• Review and optimize Workday financial reports; assist with departmental budgets and grant closeouts.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations (Uniform Guidance, travel, export control, subawards, IRB/IACUC, IT and procurement).
• Collaborates with staff and faculty across units to provide updated financial management information.
