Vanderbilt University in Nashville seeks a Research Financial Analyst to provide post-award accounting and compliance oversight for sponsored awards. You will work within the Research Finance team to ensure accurate financial management and timely reporting.

The role emphasizes reconcilations, cost transfers, sponsor reporting, and award closeout, partnering with departments and PIs to maintain strong internal controls and policy adherence throughout the award lifecycle.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; accounting emphasis preferred.
• Work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience in higher education with research compliance and financial administration preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 apps.

Responsabilidades

• Provide post-award accounting and financial oversight for sponsored awards.
• Prepare sponsor-required financial reporting and conduct cost transfers.
• Reconcile expenditures and ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist with award closeout and internal controls.
• Support departments and PIs throughout the award lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Research Finance team to maintain accurate records.
