Job summary

Kansas Department of Health and Environment seeks a Procurement Officer III to centrally coordinate contract development, ensure compliance with State Procurement policies, and manage routing and approval processes across bureaus. The role requires coordinating with the Procurement Manager and Director of Finance to ensure all requirements are met before concurrence.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in procuring commodities and services which includes preparing order specifications, estimates, bids, contracts and awarding contracts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and training using the SMART system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates Purchase Orders for Rural Health Transformation Grant contracts and agreements; generates requisitions in SMART to obligate funds.
• Processes Rural Health Transformation Grant invoices for payment as needed.
• Assist in processing Task Order Proposals as directed by the Procurement Manager.
• Maintains the DocuSign application for routing and concurrence of agency contracts and grant applications.
