Job summary

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor is looking for a Senior Grants Compliance Specialist in the Rapid Response Division. You will mentor other specialists and ensure proper use of grant funding among state entities.

This full-time position includes audit planning, fieldwork, and documenting findings to uphold accountability in state funding. State benefits such as flexible work options and health insurance are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 semester hours in accounting.
• 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting or program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct audits of grants used by public entities.
• Speak with auditees and agency management during audits.
• Conduct on-site fieldwork including interviews and information gathering.
• Review and analyze source records and program data.
• Document work results and findings, assist in report writing.
