Job summary

You will oversee high‑risk transactions, ensure audit readiness, and manage multi‑funding structures with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

The role reports to the Director of Business Services and emphasizes strategic leadership, staff development, and continuous improvement across AP, AR, Travel, and P-Card functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 12 accounting credits and 3 years supervisory accounting experience.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating multi-funding financial operations.
• Experience with federal/state funding (USDA NIFA, Hatch, Smith-Lever) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditing, and compliance.
• Ability to translate complex policies into actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead financial oversight for CALS Ledger 4 and multi-funding projects.
• Oversee reconciliations and ensure data integrity.
• Communicate policy requirements to faculty and staff.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls.
