Job summary

Met Council in New York seeks a Senior Grants Associate to secure and manage a diverse portfolio of foundation and government funding. You will write high-quality proposals and reports, research funders, ensure compliance, and collaborate with multiple departments to support hunger and poverty programs in New York and beyond.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Grants and Resource Development and requires 3–5 years in grant writing, strong writing skills, and experience with government

Qualifications

• Bachelor4 Degrees required and 35 years grant-writing experience.
• Experience with prospect research and cultivation.
• Proficiency with government grant portals, MS Office, CRM; data viz/AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare letters of intent, applications, proposals, and reports for foundations and government grants.
• Research funder opportunities and monitor RFPs; create opportunity summaries for internal use.
• Review submissions for accuracy, deadlines, and compliance with funder requirements.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and development teams to gather grant materials.
