Job summary

Project Hospitality in Staten Island, NY seeks an Associate Director of Government Grants & Contracts to lead government grant programs from opportunity scouting to closeout. You’ll manage proposals, budgets, reporting, and compliance, coordinating with finance, program staff, and leadership.

The role requires deep knowledge of NYC, state, and federal funding and a track record of successful grant administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, communications, finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate NYC, NYS, and federal funding opportunities aligned with Project Hospitality’s mission.
• Lead the preparation and submission of government grant applications, RFIs/RFPs, notices of funding opportunities, and concept papers.
• Coordinate proposal development with program, finance, planning, and executive staff.
• Develop proposal budgets and narratives with finance and program leadership.
• Maintain a pipeline of government funding opportunities and provide updates to leadership.
• Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, extensions, and required documentation.
• Monitor contract deadlines, deliverables, reporting schedules, and renewals.
• Serve as primary contact with government agencies and funders; attend relevant meetings.
• Maintain government grants and contracts tracking systems and registrations.
• Support audits, monitoring reviews, and site visits as required.
