Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center in Houston seeks a Senior Research Administration Associate to manage complex grant portfolios and subawards within a hybrid work model. You will oversee pre/post-award processes, monitor budgets, and coordinate with SPO, sponsors, and PIs to ensure timely grant submissions and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CRA certification may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Four years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Submit and monitor grant applications with SPO for multiple Center grants.
• Maintain daily, monthly, and quarterly research financial accounting activities and reports.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare special financial reports requested by Administrator when needed.
• Manage federal, state and industry grants, contracts & subcontract submissions internally and externally.
• Serve as point of contact between the Office of Research (OOR), sponsors, PIs, collaborating institutions.
• Gather and create documents for grant submission including budget, budget justification, other support, statement of work, and timelines to faculty.
• Review and approve grant proposals in the College's BRAIN system.
• Ensure compliance with all guidelines for funding purposes.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and implement changes.
• Attend workshops on research administration for continued education and contribute to the pre-/post- award management process.
• Complete quarterly effort reporting in ERS.
• Approve Concur submissions for assigned faculty.
• Assist in Center budget submission (Workday Adaptive).
• Participate in monthly meetings with other research admin associates and Administrator.
• Contribute to tactical and operational, functional, and/or business plans with short-to mid-term impact on department results.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
