Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine in the Greater Houston area is seeking a Senior Research Administration Associate focused on pre-award and post-award financial management for clinical trials in the Pediatric section of Child Neurology and the Blue Bird Clinic. This role ensures accurate budgeting, invoicing, reconciliation and sponsor reporting.

The position, with hybrid work (2 days in office) and standard 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; RACC certification may substitute for the degree.
• Four years of relevant experience in research administration or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex contract portfolios for pediatric clinical trials.
• Prepare annual contract budgets for pediatric sections and blue bird projects.
• Develop pre-award budgets and route through BRAIN and CTMS systems.
• Create cost analyses for industry-sponsored trials and investigator-initiated studies.
• Produce monthly financial reports using SAP, BRAIN, CTMS and contract data.
• Provide pre- and post-award support to faculty and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor trial expenses and ensure sponsor reporting compliance.
• Invoicing sponsors promptly and manage subcontracts as needed.
• Review expenditures for accuracy and appropriate charging.
• Maintain budget entries in the CTMS and review effort records.
