Job summary

Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and ACL are building an IP center for high-performance computing devices. Samsung seeks a Senior GPU Design Verification Engineer (GCDV) to verify the top-level graphics core for the next-generation mobile GPU, contributing to verification strategy and hands-on validation.

You will develop scalable testbenches with SystemVerilog and C++, apply constrained-random testing and coverage-driven verification, and stress full graphics pipelines

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or higher with a Bachelor’s Degree in CS/CE or relevant field, or completion of a Master’s/Ph.D.
• Hands-on experience with GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification.
• Working knowledge of computer architecture and graphics pipelines.
• Experience in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, including constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Familiarity with GPU architecture and design principles.
• Understanding of computer graphics concepts, including 3D graphics, shaders, and graphics APIs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, global team environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify top-level graphics core for Samsung's next-generation mobile GPU.
• Contribute to verification strategy and hands-on validation.
• Develop comprehensive verification plans, goals, coverage metrics, and sign-off criteria.
• Develop and maintain scalable verification testbenches using SystemVerilog and C++, in parallel with RTL code.
• Apply constrained-random testing, coverage-driven verification, and assertion-based techniques.
• Stress full graphics pipelines including command processing, front-end, shader cores, rasterization, and fixed-function units.
• Analyze complex debug issues spanning multiple GPU domains and collaborate to align with architecture.
