Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Staff GPU Design Verification Engineer – Subsystems at the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center. You will contribute to verification strategy, develop testbenches and coverage-based tests, and debug complex subsystem behaviors to ensure functional correctness and performance integrity across mobile GPU subsystems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and GPU subsystem design, including block- and subsystem-level integration.
• Experience with constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to identify bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a global, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Verify one or more GPU subsystems and contribute to verification strategy.
• Develop verification plans, goals, coverage metrics, and sign-off criteria.
• Create scalable testbenches using SystemVerilog/UVM and C++ with constrained-random testing.
• Analyze failures and drive debugging with design/architecture teams.
• Advance verification methodologies and automation for efficiency and quality.
