Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a senior GPU software engineer to develop high-performance GPU primitives and abstractions, collaborating with the internal hardware team on SoC projects. You will bring up and optimize the onboard stack on new GPU platforms, and enhance CI/CD tooling for reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in GPU software and strong CUDA-like experience, in a hybrid work environment in Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EECS or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience in GPU software.
• Strong understanding of GPU hardware and software stack.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance GPU primitives and abstractions for diverse backends.
• Collaborate with internal hardware and external partners on SoC projects focusing on GPU.
• Manage bring-up, correctness, and performance of onboard stack on new GPUs.
• Contribute to CI/CD testing infrastructure for GPUs to detect bugs early.
• Create profiler and debugger tools for new GPU platforms.
