NVIDIA is seeking a Senior GPU Platforms Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to drive GPU/SOC software across platform, kernel, and observability domains. You’ll own system software, contribute to production code, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize latency, throughput, and stability.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field with multiple years in systems, platform, embedded, or GPU software.
• 10+ years of experience in developing SOC systems and platform software.
• Strong background in Linux internals, device drivers, kernel/user boundaries, concurrency, and performance profiling.
• Experience with building observability architectures and modern analytics stacks.
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure solutions for products and AI/ML integrations.

Responsibilities

• System Software Generalist: own platform software including kernel device driver development, firmware interactions, health monitoring, and system-level features for new GPU/SOC platforms.
• Observability stack expert: design and develop high-performance platforms handling metrics, logs, traces, and real-time monitoring at scale.
• Full stack software engineer: develop production applications and features for NVIDIA SOC products.
• Collaborate with software, driver, data center, and cloud teams to launch new GPU platforms and improve performance and stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to large production codebases with C/C++.
• Understand AI workloads on NVIDIA architectures and impact on latency and throughput.
• Expand knowledge of OS and system software, Linux internals, concurrency, and performance profiling.
• Apply expertise in OS, computer architecture to manage CPU-GPU interactions, PCIe, memory hierarchy, and firmware.
