Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Compute Systems Software Engineer to design and maintain kernel drivers and embedded software for Data Center GPU platforms. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver features for clock, thermal and power management, telemetry, and device management across Linux and Windows.

Applicants should have 8+ years of hands-on driver experience, strong C/C++, and deep OS internals knowledge. The role expects independent work ethic; Windows experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience developing low-level device drivers, especially for Linux.
• Strong software engineering skills with drive to solve hard problems.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Detailed knowledge of OS internals and device driver models.
• Low-level OS knowledge required.
• Strong English written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Design software for next-generation compute GPU solutions.
• Develop and maintain software that enables NVIDIA GPU hardware across Linux and Windows.
• Implement cross-platform software for new and evolving hardware architectures.
• Collaborate with global teams across software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support.
• Develop features for clock, thermal, and power management.
• Build telemetry, device initialization, and device management capabilities.
• Implement memory-management and performance optimizations for GPU platforms.
• Contribute to embedded software development supporting GPU functionality and platform integration.
