Job summary

Viasat is seeking a skilled Proposal Manager to support government-related deals in the United States. You will assemble requirements, coordinate with BD, engineering, and program management, and manage the proposal lifecycle from RFI/RFQ to submission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in business development and proposal management.
• Proven track record of successfully offering to and winning high-value contracts and projects.
• Strong project management skills to prioritize and manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet proposal deadlines for Antenna Systems
• Bachelor's degree in a related Business field or equivalent experience
• US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

• Put together action items and proposal requirements per the RFI or RFQ
• Call meetings with BD, engineers & program managers to assign action items and plan of action
• Manage and follow-up on everyone's individual efforts so that deadlines are met
• Format proposals and when necessary, submit the proposal to the customer or the customer portal
• Review and verify all high dollar material for large bids, and work with purchasing to update material costs
• Update costing sheet annually by running costed BOMs and working with purchasing for updated quotes
• Work with the Salesforce team to determine what was needed for our team and input opportunities
