Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Capture & Proposal Manager within the VGOV Win Center. You will partner with BD leaders to operationalize capture activities and oversee the day-to-day proposal development for government defense opportunities, ensuring timely, compliant, and persuasive submissions.

The role requires 10+ years in federal proposals, strong writing, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel up to 25% and US citizenship with TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading federal proposal efforts with capture planning, win strategy, and pre-RFP activities.
• Strong proposal development and technical writing skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat for document control.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• US citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Capture Execution & Planning: operationalize capture strategies, gate readiness, cross-functional coordination, solution maturity.
• Proposal Management & Delivery: direct end-to-end proposal process, schedule management, compliance, reviews.
• Win Strategy & Profiling: facilitate win strategy sessions and develop customer/competitive profiles.
• Daily Operations & Milestones: coordinate capture-team milestones and gate preparation.
• Proposal Content & Writing: draft and standardize high-quality content translating architectures into compelling solutions.
• B&P Budget Tracking: establish and track budgets for ongoing capture efforts.
• Status Reporting: maintain documentation and report pursuit health to leadership.
• Solicitation Analysis: review federal solicitations for requirements analysis and mapping.
