Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Capture & Proposal Manager to lead end-to-end proposal efforts within the VGOV Win Center. You will partner with BD to operationalize capture strategies, manage the lifecycle, and ensure compliant, compelling submittals.

The role requires 10+ years of federal proposal leadership, strong writing, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Active US Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading federal proposal efforts with capture planning and pre-RFP activities.
• Strong proposal development and technical writing skills, able to craft a unified voice of the customer narrative.
• Collaborate across functional lines and manage teams without direct authority under pressure.
• Familiarity with CRM and publishing tools; exporting regulated content.

Responsibilities

• Capture Execution & Planning: operationalize capture strategies and gate readiness.
• Proposal Management & Delivery: oversee schedule, compliance matrix, color team reviews, final deliverables.
• Win Strategy & Profiling: develop customer, stakeholder, and competitive profiles.
• Daily Operations & Milestones: coordinate capture-team milestones and gate prep.
• Proposal Content & Writing: draft and standardize high-quality content.
• B&P Budget Tracking: assist in budgeting and track capture expenses.
• Status Reporting: provide pursuit health updates to Win Center leadership.
• Solicitation Analysis: analyze federal solicitations for requirements mapping.
