Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced architect-leader to drive client delivery across state and local government modernization programs in a senior capacity. You will shape target architectures, validate designs, and align business goals with technology solutions while coordinating with delivery teams and stakeholders.

You will translate business needs into system models, lead architecture reviews, and contribute to proposals and reusable templates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.
5+ years of overall work experience in consulting or enterprise IT roles.
Experience delivering technology solutions for state or local government clients.
Ability to design system architectures, integration approaches, and data flows in complex environments.
Familiarity with cloud modernization approaches including cloud adoption, legacy refactoring, and COTS integration.
Experience facilitating technical workshops and translating business needs into technology requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams.
Knowledge of business capability modeling, process mapping, and solution alignment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior delivery resource for modernization initiatives across state and local government clients, providing architectural oversight and alignment between business goals and technology solutions.
Develop target state solution architectures and lead sessions to validate designs, platform selections, and system interoperability.
Translate business requirements into system-level technical models including design, data structures, and deployment frameworks.
Partner with delivery leads, analysts, and specialists to ensure architectural integrity from kickoff through implementation.
Support business capability modeling and process-to-technology mapping to align client operations with system design.
Contribute to design and implementation of cloud-native, hybrid, or on-premise platforms with integrations to enterprise systems and COTS solutions.
Lead or participate in architecture reviews and client workshops to evaluate legacy environments and modernization paths.
Advise on performance, scalability, security, and compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Collaborate on proposals, drafts, and technical work plans; assist in level-of-effort estimates and risk identification.
