Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel with specialized government contracting and compliance expertise to join our Virginia team. You will advise on U.S. government contracts, ITAR/EAR/FAR/DFARS, and related regulations for global matrixed operations.

The role emphasizes risk management, policy development, and collaboration with legal, operations, and external counsel to align contracts with regulatory requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in at least one state required.
• 5+ years of experience in public sector and/or government contracting, regulatory compliance, or corporate law.
• In-depth knowledge of ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFARS regulations.

Responsabilités

• Regulatory compliance oversight for ITAR, EAR, FAR and DFARS.
• Draft, review, and negotiate government and commercial contracts and related documents.
• Conduct risk assessments for federal projects and supervise compliance.
• Develop and update corporate compliance policies; train staff.
• Collaborate with legal, operations and compliance teams and external counsel.
• Stay updated on legal changes; perform regulatory research as needed.
• Prepare reports to regulatory bodies and archive contracts per requirements.
