Job summary

Agency DEPT OF HEALTH/MENTAL HYGIENE in New York City seeks a Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer (DACCO) to oversee the ACCCO Office, manage multiple units, and direct a team of professionals and administrators. The role requires strong procurement, contract management, and leadership skills to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

The incumbent will lead purchasing and M/WBE functions, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop strategies to meet agency procurement needs while enforcing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience including 18 months in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Alternatively a high school diploma and six years of relevant experience with at least 18 months in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent education and experience accepted with the required supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing Unit to ensure timely, compliant purchases and effective team growth.
• Lead the M/WBE Unit and integrate M/WBE goals into procurement processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement steps and professionalism.
• Review procurements, contract awards and responsibility determinations for ACCO.
• Track M/WBE participation and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
