Job summary

Rea, a growing Top 100 advisory & accounting firm in Ohio, is seeking a Senior Manager - Government Audit to lead government engagements, oversee audit teams, and ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, GAAS and GAGAS. You will manage client relationships and deliver high-quality audit services.

This role emphasizes business development with government entities, mentoring staff, and maintaining a strong culture of integrity and professional excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• Ten (10) or more years prior work experience in public accounting or industry equivalent, to include experiences with GASB.
• Licensed CPA or international equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Associates, Senior Associates, and Supervisors on government audit projects.
• Plan, execute, and oversee audits for federal, state, and local agencies, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Lead and mentor audit teams, providing guidance and training to enhance performance.
• Serve as primary contact for government clients, managing relationships and expectations.
• Ensure audits comply with GAAP, GASB, GAAS, and GAGAS; review work papers and reports.
