Florida Department of Financial Services in Tallahassee seeks an experienced accounting professional to serve as access custodian for the ACFR. You will maintain essential applications (Excel, Access, WDesk/WData, FLAIR/PALM) and ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB while managing user access.

The role involves data collection, procedure development, and guidance for state agencies involved in financial reporting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four (4) years of experience in governmental accounting and financial statement preparation or an equivalent year-for-year alternative.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with databases and SQL is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and governmental accounting standards.
• Ability to research, analyze, and interpret accounting literature and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; able to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as access custodian maintaining applications used to compile and publish the ACFR.
• Maintain access permissions and roles based on business rules; collaborate on policy development.
• Identify and implement changes to applications to adopt GASB statements; plan and coordinate implementations.
• Coordinate data collection and compilation from state agencies for ACFR in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop procedures, provide training, and guide other state agency staff on reporting procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
