Job summary

The Florida Department of Financial Services is seeking a qualified professional to serve as access custodian for ACFR applications and support the annual financial reporting process. You will maintain key tools (Excel, Access, Workiva, FLAIR/PALM), enforce access controls, collaborate with IT, and implement GASB/GAAP requirements in the ACFR compilation and related procedures.

Required: high school diploma and four years of governmental accounting experience; a post-secondary accounting degree

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of government accounting and financial statement prep experience required; degree may substitute year-for-year.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and reports in GAAP/GASB context.

Responsibilities

• Serve as access custodian for ACFR applications and related reporting activities.
• Maintain access controls for Excel, Access, Workiva and FLAIR/PALM used in ACFR.
• Collaborate with IT and leadership to develop business rules for ACFR tools.
• Identify GASB/GAAP changes and coordinate implementation plans.
• Assist in assembling the ACFR data from state agencies per GAAP.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
