Job summary

BDO USA in Dallas seeks an Experienced Senior, Outsourced Finance & Accounting Associate to lead the full cycle general accounting for Government Contracting clients. You will manage the GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and contract accounting while ensuring FAR, CAS and DCAA compliance, and you will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with GAAP statements.

CPA or CPA candidate is preferred; strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for accurate

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of government contracting accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
• Manage GL, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close; GAAP statements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA and GovCon regulations.
• Assist with indirect cost structures, proposal pricing, and project accounting.
• Monitor contract funding, costs, profitability, and project performance.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for leadership.
