Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Three (3) or more years of progressive accounting experience in a government contracting environment.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee full cycle general accounting for GovCon clients.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close; prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Support revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policy maintenance per GovCon regulations.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations; maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
• Assist with indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
• Support project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and closeout.
• Monitor funding, financial performance, and project costs to ensure contract profitability.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis for executive decisions.
