Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Infrastructure Engineer to lead the GovCloud infrastructure buildout and security compliance for government workloads. You will design IaC, establish PostgreSQL and BI in GovCloud, and implement SSO with Google SAML, ensuring scalable, secure multi-environment deployments.

This role emphasizes greenfield design, automation, and collaboration with security, compliance, and engineering teams to meet FedRAMP standards and drive reliable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in infrastructure engineering/ops with 3+ years AWS experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL admin skills: performance, replication, backups, HA.
• Python for automation and data pipelines.
• Experience with Chef IaC and greenfield deployments.
• Identity management and Google SAML/SSO integration.
• Tableau Server admin: install, config, security, users.
• Knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab) and Git.
• Network security, VPCs, firewalls, secure architectures.
• Ability to work independently on greenfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS GovCloud infrastructure with security/compliance (FedRAMP, FISMA).
• Establish PostgreSQL infra, backups, replication, HA, security hardening.
• Create IaC with Chef: cookbooks, recipes, environments.
• Implement Google SAML-based authentication and SSO.
• Deploy and configure BI infra (Tableau) in GovCloud with auth integration.
• Design multi-environment infra with network segmentation and promotion workflows.
• Build monitoring/observability and runbooks for outages and DR.
• Support data pipelines, troubleshoot ETL/ELT, DB performance issues.
• Collaborate with security/compliance/engineering to meet gov requirements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automation with Chef and AWS tools.
• Leverage AI to improve decisions and workflows.
