Job summary

Credence is seeking a Senior Google AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy secure AI/ML systems on Google Cloud for a high-visibility DoD program. You will mentor teams and translate mission needs into scalable AI solutions with strong compliance controls.

The role requires 8+ years in software development/AI, DoD-friendly experience, and a current GCP certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days. This is an on-site role in McLean, VA with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred but not required with strong hands-on AI/ML experience.
• 5+ years in AI/ML solution development with production deployments on GCP.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions on Google Cloud using Vertex AI and Gemini/LLM services.
• Develop production data pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc; orchestrate with Cloud Run and GKE.
• Implement robust MLOps with instrumentation, monitoring, retraining, and drift detection.
• Apply secure-by-design patterns aligned to NIST RMF FedRAMP and Zero Trust principles.
• Operationalize LLM/GenAI including RAG, tool use, and evaluation harnesses.
• Partner with stakeholders to elicit requirements and deliver iterative value; lead reviews.
