Job summary

Talking Rock Club in Prescott, AZ is seeking a full-time Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance, operations and management of the golf course and related facilities. You will oversee agronomy, turfgrass care and course conditioning to deliver a premier playing experience for members and guests.

As a Troon associate, you will manage budgeting, staff hiring and supervision, safety and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with the board of directors to sustain long-term course

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices.
• Working knowledge of golf facility construction principles and playing rules.
• Strong administrative and executive abilities with problem solving and decision making.
• Proficiency in computer use and MS Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of employment, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the construction and maintenance of the golf course(s).
• Leads maintenance and repair of construction and golf course maintenance equipment.
• Provides professional advice and services to the facility's board of directors as required.
• Participates in long-range planning meetings.
• Plans maintenance and project work using agronomic and administrative expertise.
• Oversees scheduling and routing of personnel and equipment; inspects course and adjusts programs.
• Prepares annual budgets for maintenance and capital improvements; aligns with board policies.
• Interviews, hires, trains and supervises staff; has authority to terminate employment.
• Keeps payroll, inventory, weather data and maintenance records; manages cost control.
