Job summary

FireRock Country Club in Fountain Hills, AZ, is seeking a Head Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance and improvements of the 18‑hole course and clubhouse grounds. You will manage the team, budgets and agronomic programs to deliver top‑notch playing conditions.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, turf management, irrigation, pesticide programs, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of agronomy and turf grass management practices.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a related field, or certificate with training.
• Certification/licensed pesticide usage or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to train, motivate and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the 18-hole course and practice areas to ensure top conditions.
• Oversee grounds, landscaping and irrigation programs and budgets.
• Plan maintenance projects and present plans clearly to leadership.
• Direct hiring, coaching and development of the golf course team.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and record keeping.
