Job summary

SumUp is expanding its Pricing team to build a scalable pricing platform for its payments ecosystem. As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll design and deliver backend services, drive architectural decisions, and mentor peers in a small, high-impact squad.

You’ll work with Golang, REST APIs, Docker, AWS and Kubernetes, shaping pricing logic at scale across millions of transactions. Join a global, inclusive culture with strong ownership and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of programming experience, including Golang.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with Docker, AWS, Kubernetes.
• DevOps mindset and ownership attitude.
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL DBs (Postgres, Kafka).
• Strong understanding of system architecture and API design.
• Collaborative, open to feedback with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for pricing systems.
• Develop backoffice tools for pricing management.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code following best practices.
• Provide documentation and automated tests; ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with software, QA and DevOps to enable smooth deployment and CI/CD.
• Participate in code reviews to improve maintainability.
• Support requirements analysis, scope definition, and retrospectives.
