Job summary

PrizePicks, a leading daily fantasy sports company in the United States, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with deep Go expertise to join the Sweat & Lineups team. You will design, build, and own Go services powering our core platform, tackling high-scope distributed systems challenges and mentoring others.

You will shape technical direction, own delivery end-to-end, and collaborate with PMs, Designers, QA, and other engineers while contributing to reliability and performance in a rapidly

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience building production Go services
• Proven track record delivering complex multi-component features in a team
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases including schema design and query optimization

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend Go-based microservices for real-time workloads
• Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements to deployment and monitoring
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability under load
• Propose and drive architectural decisions for team services
• Mentor Software Engineers on the team through code reviews and guidance
• Define and improve practices around code quality, testing, observability, and deployment
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and other teams to translate goals into technical solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to root-cause analysis
