Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Container Product Engineering. This remote-friendly role supports US‑based work with flexibility for Canada, the UK, and Germany.

You will design and ship features behind Chainguard Containers within a small, end‑to‑end team, taking ownership of significant parts of the product. You will operate in an AI‑assisted development environment, ensuring security by default while collaborating with Product Managers and customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production software for customers.
• Strong Go and systems design fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
• Comfort working in remote-first teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship Chainguard Containers features and services.
• Own trade-offs on scope, sequencing, and shipping.
• Collaborate with AI coding agents and maintain safety.
• Work across teams including customer calls and support data.
• Maintain observability and on-call readiness.
• Write design notes, PR descriptions, and status updates.
