Job summary

Workato, Inc. is hiring a Senior Go Engineer to join the Workato Genie team. You will develop mission-critical features for the platform, including AI chatbot dispatching and scalable execution, while collaborating with Infra, SRE, and AI teams to deliver high-availability services.

You will contribute across the full lifecycle, write efficient code, and drive architectural improvements while embracing a flexible, remote-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Strong experience with Go language at backend (4+ years).
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
• Understanding of building blocks of large web apps: databases, load balancers, etc.
• Experience with distributed, highly available systems.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
• Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
• Ensure high availability and scalability with Infra and SRE teams.
• Collaborate with AI team on features for new AI assistant.
• Contribute at all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write clean, testable, efficient code.
• Suggest improvements and evaluate architectural options.
• Support continuous improvement through exploring new technologies.
