Job summary

Cast AI is seeking a platform engineer to design and build the systems behind our AI assistant, connecting live Kubernetes clusters to cloud infrastructure and reasoning over costs.

You will write production Go services, enable multi-tenant, permissioned access, and maintain cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with clean abstractions and maintainable code.
• Production Go experience preferred; otherwise strong systems programming in a comparable language.
• Experience building/operating large-scale SaaS platforms in production.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, autoscaling, scheduling, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.
• Observability tooling in production, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong English skills (verbal and written). Startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the systems behind our AI assistant: agent flows, context retrieval, data connections for live Kubernetes infra.
• Develop and maintain a public, permission-aware MCP server with curated tools, identity, audit, and safety gates.
• Develop cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, and Azure and the data foundations our agents rely on.
• Write production Go services interacting with cloud APIs, the Kubernetes control plane, and LLM APIs in real time.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production rollout (typical projects ship in 1–4 weeks).
• Debug complex issues like wrong agent answers, cross-cloud permission edge cases, and data freshness at scale.
• Build the quality harness: evals, telemetry, feedback loops to prevent regressions.
• Contribute to product direction and backlog; participate in on-call rotation.
