Xident is seeking a Senior Go Developer to architect and build the core API powering identity verifications. The backend uses Go with Echo, GORM, and PostgreSQL, delivering high-throughput verification endpoints and real-time webhooks at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance Go services handling 10,000+ requests per second using Echo framework.
• Build and maintain verification APIs, session management, and SDK backends with GORM and PostgreSQL (Neon).
• Integrate with ML pipelines via River queue for OCR processing and face matching workflows.
• Implement caching strategies with Redis, rate limiting, and API key authentication.
• Lead technical design discussions and drive architecture decisions for our Go monolith.
• Contribute to our multi-language SDK ecosystem (Go, Node.js, PHP, Python) and Swagger/Scalar API documentation.

We're looking for a Senior Go Developer to architect and build the core API powering millions of identity verifications. Our entire backend runs on Go with Echo, GORM, and PostgreSQL — you'll own high-throughput verification endpoints, River-based job queues, and real-time webhook delivery at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement high-performance Go services handling 10,000+ requests per second using Echo framework
• Build and maintain verification APIs, session management, and SDK backends with GORM and PostgreSQL (Neon)
• Integrate with ML pipelines via River queue for OCR processing and face matching workflows

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional Go development experience
• Deep understanding of concurrency patterns, goroutines, and channels
• Production experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and background job systems (River, asynq, or similar)
• Track record of building and operating high-availability distributed systems
• Strong API design skills — our API serves 117 documented endpoints across SDK, dashboard, and admin surfaces
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (Prometheus, Sentry)

Nice to Have

• Experience in identity verification, fintech, or security domains
• Familiarity with WebAuthn/passkey authentication (go-webauthn)
• Experience with Stripe billing integration and usage-based pricing
