Job summary

Grocery TV in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer - Golang to scale backend systems and improve reliability as the platform grows.

You will design, build, and maintain high-scale Go services, lead backend initiatives end-to-end, and partner with Product and fellow engineers to translate business needs into durable technical solutions. Expect 12+ years of software experience, strong distributed systems knowledge, API-first design, and on-call ownership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Go for backend services.
• Experience designing and operating high-scale backend systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-scale backend services using Go.
• Lead backend projects to improve reliability, resiliency, and performance.
• Design and evolve API-first services for customer-facing and internal apps.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design for future initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product to scope and execute backend work aligned with business goals.
