Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Devices Cloud Platform team in Austin. You will design, build, and maintain backend services that power a global cloud video platform, with senior ownership of critical systems across multi-region environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience.
• Go expertise with concurrency, systems programming, and production HTTP services.
• Strong networking and distributed systems fundamentals including SSH, reverse tunneling, and state coordination with etcd/Redis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and shared platform components supporting customer-facing products.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, testing, automation, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex platform, networking, and production reliability issues across device-edge and cloud services, including SSH workflows.
• Collaborate across teams, provide technical guidance, and contribute to architecture and development practices.
