Job summary

Brivo, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Devices Cloud Platform in Austin. You will own architecture, development, deployment, and operations for distributed cloud services managing millions of IoT devices.

You will design scalable, secure systems, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives across global cloud infra. Strong Python, Django, and Kubernetes experience is required, along with a focus on observability and security.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python development with REST APIs and Django.
• PostgreSQL administration, indexing, replication, and query optimization.
• Kubernetes and Docker for cloud-native app deployments.
• Distributed systems architecture and Linux troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of global cloud-native IoT backend services.
• Develop high-performance distributed systems with optimized data models.
• Build and operate containerized applications within Kubernetes.
• Implement observability to monitor performance and debug issues.
• Drive security, compliance, and engineering standards while reducing technical debt.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact capabilities, and mentor engineers.
