Temporal Technologies is seeking a senior software engineer to join a high-impact team building the systems that power Temporal Cloud at scale. You’ll own critical surface areas such as Namespaces, Audit Logs, and Export, impacting how customers provision, operate, and derive value from Temporal Cloud.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and solutions architects to design resilient architectures, drive cross-functional execution, and raise reliability and scalability standards

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and delivering production-grade backend systems in cloud environments, with ownership over architecture and operational outcomes.
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems or backend language (Go preferred).
• Hands-on experience building and operating distributed systems: concurrency, reliability, scaling, consistency, and failure handling in production.
• Solid experience with data pipelines and storage systems (Postgres, Redshift, Kafka/Kinesis, S3-compatible storage, Clickhouse) and ensuring correctness at scale.
• Experience with production operations: observability, incident response, performance tuning, on-call readiness, and continuous delivery.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements from product managers and solutions architects into actionable technical plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication: crisp design docs, stakeholder alignment, and explaining complex systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for namespace scalability, reliability, and customer data products.
• Bridge instrumentation and product value by translating business questions into durable event schemas.
• Architect data pipelines for high-throughput usage, balancing data freshness, cost, isolation, and fault-tolerance.
• Drive data quality by establishing schema contracts, anomaly detection, and alerting for silent failures.
• Raise the engineering bar through reviews, patterns, and tooling for maintainability and observability.
• Mentor engineers, unblock execution, and foster ownership and pragmatic excellence.
• Improve developer and customer experience by streamlining flows with automation and better tooling.
