Job summary

Round-Peg Solutions (RPS) Limited is seeking a Senior GNC Software Engineer to develop real-time flight software for autonomous aircraft and aerospace vehicles. You will implement guidance, navigation, flight-control and autonomy algorithms within embedded systems and work closely with flight-test engineers to bring software from simulation to hardware.

The role requires strong C++ programming in embedded, real-time environments, familiarity with flight software and control-system software, and

Qualifications

Strong C++ programming within embedded, real-time or performance-critical systems.
Experience developing flight software, GNC, autonomy or control-system software.
Understanding of control algorithms, vehicle dynamics or real-time software architecture.

Responsibilities

Developing C++ flight software for autonomous aircraft, UAVs and aerospace vehicles.
Implementing guidance, navigation, flight-control and autonomy algorithms into embedded software.
Building and optimising real-time software running on embedded processors and flight computers.
Integrating software with sensors, avionics, communications and vehicle control systems.
Taking software through simulation, SIL/HIL testing, hardware integration and flight trials.
