Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Chandler, Arizona, is seeking a GNC Staff Engineer/Technical Lead focused on navigation modeling, analysis and simulation. You will provide technical leadership for mission-critical flight-system navigation, mentoring engineers and guiding architecture across space-launch and defense programs.

The role is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule; you will work with cross-disciplinary teams to develop inertial and GPS/GNSS navigation solutions, Kalman-filter-based

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of related experience (or MS with 10+ years, PhD with 8+ years).
Experience with inertial, satellite-based, and integrated navigation systems.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform navigation modeling, simulation, analysis, and algorithm development with informal leadership.
Lead navigation architecture, modeling, simulation, analysis, and verification across programs.
Develop a technical roadmap to expand the team’s navigation capability.
Direct development and evaluation of inertial, GPS/GNSS, and multi-sensor navigation solutions.
Mentor engineers and coordinate with customers and leadership.
