Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a GNC Staff Engineer/Technical Lead in Chandler, AZ to drive navigation modeling, analysis, and simulation for space-launch and defense programs. This 100% onsite role requires strong leadership and a DoD Secret clearance, with a 9/80 work schedule and a Friday off every other week.
You will mentor engineers, define technical approaches, and coordinate with software, systems, and program leadership to deliver robust navigation solutions across demanding
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in a STEM discipline with extensive related experience.
- Experience with inertial, satellite-based, and integrated navigation systems.
- Experience in navigation modeling, simulation, analysis, and/or algorithm development for flight systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to define approaches, perform trade studies, and drive verification and validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead navigation modeling, simulation, analysis, and algorithm development.
- Direct navigation architecture across launch, interceptor, and missile-defense programs.
- Develop roadmaps to expand the team’s navigation capabilities.
- Oversee verification planning, HWIL/SIL environments, and flight test integration.
- Mentor engineers and coordinate with customers and program leadership.
- Communicate approaches, risks, and results to engineering teams and leadership.
