Job summary

Vast is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to own guidance, navigation, and control for a new constellation-ready spacecraft bus. You will be responsible for developing GNC algorithms, simulation environments, and ensuring precise pointing for high-power payloads.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 6+ years of GNC or ADCS development experience. The position is full-time, located in Long Beach, California, with competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of spacecraft GNC or ADCS development experience.
• Experience with reaction wheels or CMGs.
• Comfortable working from architecture trades through flight software implementation.

Responsibilities

• Define the ADCS architecture including CMG pyramid configuration.
• Develop GNC algorithms for attitude determination and momentum management.
• Own the pointing budget and validation through simulation.
