Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Staff Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer to independently design, analyze, and test GNC algorithms and orbital analyses for various spacecraft missions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace (Space), Astronautics, Mechanical (Dynamics), Electrical (Controls), Physics (Astrodynamics, Orbits), Applied Math or related field.
• 5 years of related industry experience in spacecraft GNC systems; Master’s or PhD may count for years.
• Understanding of GNC principles and orbital mechanics.
• Experience with full lifecycle GNC development.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, analyze, and test GNC algorithms and orbital analyses.
• Develop GNC flight software components and discuss across teams.
• Create and validate MATLAB/Simulink models; generate technical documentation.
• Develop test scripts and automation tools; perform HITL testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; mentor junior engineers.
