Varda seeks a Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to own the full life cycle of GNC development—from design through unit and hardware-in-the-loop testing to flight testing.

You will perform system analyses, including simulations and Monte Carlo studies, to satisfy specifications and drive architectural decisions, contributing to an in-house aerospace simulation framework.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field plus 5+ years experience, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace GNC design, modeling, testing, and flight.
• Proficient in C++ and Python for software and model development.

Aufgaben

• Specify ADCS hardware performance, sizing reaction wheels, IMU, GPS, and star trackers.
• Design autonomous attitude control, collision avoidance, orbit rendezvous, and re-entry planning algorithms.
• Develop 6-DOF vehicle simulation using C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Run Monte Carlo analyses to evaluate performance and mission capabilities.
• Integrate and test GNC sensors, actuators, and software in hardware-in-the-loop.
