Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior technologist to lead a small Command and Control software team focused on path planning and route optimization for unmanned platforms.

You will prototype state-of-the-art algorithms, develop real-time C2 tooling, and work across development lifecycles to deliver robust planners and coordinated multi-agent missions, while advancing the team toward mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
• Strong knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT, RRT*, PRM).
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) and trajectory optimization.
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and autonomous platforms.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Transcripts or detailed academic information requested during application.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team within the Command and Control Software organization, leveraging subject-matter expertise in path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination within command and control systems.
• Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems, ranging from operator-facing mission planning tools to autonomous tasking and routing services.
• Design and implement robust planners, search algorithms, and decision-making systems for safe, feasible, and optimal routes in dynamic environments.
• Analyze system performance using high-fidelity simulations and rigorous statistical techniques to validate planner behavior across mission scenarios.
• Drive customer success by customizing algorithms and software for mission-critical use cases, including collaborative autonomy and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate path planning technologies into the broader command and control software stack and lifecycle.
• Translate technical progress into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
